Once Jackson Maine was an absolute superstar, but his best time is now behind him and his star fades slowly. There he meets a young woman named Ally, whose great musical talent he immediately recognizes. Between the two develops quickly a passionate love relationship, in the wake of which Jackson Ally urges to try as a singer as well. Ally becomes a star overnight and continues to fade Jackson's fame.
