Layout & technical equipment
Seating arrangements:
• Single-level seating; with the help of mobile podiums certain areas of the hall (e.g. speakers table, catwalks, etc.) can be height-adjusted by up to 1 m.
• Conventional theatre or concert hall arrangement, with sloping audience floor; thanks to the proscenium sliding on rails (overall opening 11,9 x 6 m), to a comprehensive technical stage equipment and to the two under-floor fold-away seating system.
Stage:
Standard stage: 12 x 12 m, with a 2 m deep proscenium and 2 side boxes, to the left and the right of the stage, of about 6 x 10 m each; if needed, another 100 m² of floor space can be added by opening the partition walls.
Fly tower: 12 m
Orchestra pit at the foot of the stage: 16 x 4 m; this can be lowered by 3 levels down to the technical compartment and storage area beneath the hall.
The stage can be accessed directly by vehicles (for loading/unloading) through a large sliding door (4,5 x 4 m).
Technical stage equipment (machines):
4 backstage flies, 16 stage flies, 2 flies for the hall (all hydraulically powered, tubular section 60 mm, load capacity 250 kg); 4 flies for the lights (hydraulically powered, diameter 60 mm, load capacity 1.000 kg); 2 acoustic reflectors
Stage lighting:
Stage lighting system with digital console (DMX 512, 250 channels, suitable for controlling the multipurpose spotlights, 2 monitors, remote radio-controls); about 70 spotlights, of which 6 motorized; 2 follow-spots and 10 DMX lines, as well as 1 converter for the connection of guest console equipment operating with different protocols; 120 2,5 kVA dimmers.
Hall lighting: 126 glass-ceramic halogen lamps (which can be arranged in rows or groups with the Creston touch panel).
Audio system:
1 amplifier system with L-C-R loudspeakers and 2 subwoofers in the proscenium, and 8 surround loudspeakers along the hall walls; 4 stage monitors (total output of about 8 kW). 1 digital mixing console (soundcraft 324 digital live, 18 inputs); 1 XLR mobile stage box (24 sends, 8 returns); 1 CD player (Pioneer), 1 CD-MD player (Sony), 1 twin recording deck (Denon); 4 radio-microphones with manual transmitter (Sennheiser ew 100) and 3 headset radiomicrophones (Sennheiser ew 100); 6 allround microphones (Sennheiser condenser); 5 “conference” swan neck microphones (Crown).
Sundry accessories (stands, cabling, etc.).
The acoustics of the hall can be customised to suit the various types of events with the use of motor-powered curtains and panels.
The whole system is controlled by means of a Crestron Touch panel.
Video system:
1 motorized screen (8 x 6 m) inside the sliding proscenium, 2 video data projectors (BARCO DLP 5000 ANSI Lumen), 1 VGA switcher (connections for computers on the stage and in the direction booth), 1 Matrix audio-video unit (16 in, 16 out), 1 DVD player, 1 S-VHS videorecorder, 1 overhead projector, 2 slide projectors.
The whole system is controlled by means of a Crestron Touch panel.
Film projection system:
35 mm film projector with Dolby-Surround processor. For the audio system see above.
Direction booth:
Set at the back of the hall, the direction booth is very large (21 x 3 m) and contains 2 simultaneous interpretation booths, besides mixers and equipment for managing and controlling the lighting and audio systems and the theatre equipment. There is a lot of room for setting up extra technical systems in the case of touring shows, interfacing with the resident equipment.
Simultaneous interpretation equipment (ISO 4043 consistent):
2 soundproofed and air-conditioned booths (1,60 m x 1,60 m, 2 m high) with 2 seats in the direction booth, with a direct line of sight to the speakers or the Power Point/slide projections. IR wireless simultaneous interpretation system with 98 practical IR receivers, IR (unilateral) headsets and transmitters.
Piano:
Bösendorfer Imperial (length 290)
