What you are about to see is a snapshot of life, a small window into the interpersonal relationship between a father and a son. That should suffice for now." (Talking Cricket)

The modern fairy tale of Pinocchio is a story for young and old alike. It tells of the adventures, but also the misadventures, of Pinocchio and his father, Mastro Geppetto. In other words, the play is rooted in a father-son relationship. The protagonists find themselves in the belly of a whale, where they encounter other characters from the fairy tale. An animal's belly, a mother's belly.
