A Liaison (theatre in german language)

by Philippe Blasband
Years later, a man and a woman reminisce about a time when they had a passionate relationship: every week, always at the same place, at the same time, they met to live out their erotic fantasies. They didn't want to know each other's names or anything else about each other's lives, yet they grew closer and became almost indispensable to each other. Until an event occurred that suddenly put everything at risk. Now they relive this relationship in their memories. Each on their own, but also together, they look back, with all the blurring and gaps in their memories that time brings. This repeatedly provides amusing moments, but also testifies to the tenderness and humour in their relationship, which has endured over the years.
Born in Tehran in 1964 and now living in Brussels, author Philippe Blasband was highly praised at the Venice Film Festival in 2000 for his screenplay for the film ‘Une liaison pornographique’. Katharina Stemberger and Andreas Patton, two actors well known from film and television, now embody the protagonists of this unusual relationship on stage.
